I may be a little late to the game, but I finally got a goodreads account ( find me here 😄) at the end of July and I set a goal of reading 30 books for the rest of the year, so I have about 5 months left to do it. I had only read 7 so far, and I’m excluding my science and medical books because I want these books to be chosen for no purpose other than my pure enjoyment and curiosity (but I LOVE my science reads).
I graduated Bio/Premed but I also graduated with a Lit major which contributed to my love of reading, mainly classics, but I realized after undergrad that I got so busy reading books on medicine that I didn’t make time to read anything else. So, I’m hoping that if I set this goal my blog will keep me accountable to read a lot, and I’m always open to new book recommendations so please let me know if you have any!🤗 I love thrillers and horror, I’m discovering a new love for Sci-fi and I’m not a big romance fan.. at all, but I’m open minded so I’ll try anything. I also think I should be reading other kinds of books, genres, and topics.
I started taking pictures of the books I read so far, in the places where I read/finished them because I thought it would be a fun way to keep track. I also thought it would be a really cool, really sly way to show off all of the neat places I go to. I’m sure I’m not the first person to do this but I thought of the idea without anyone else so let’s pretend I invented it please. Thanks.
So far I only took pictures of these, but I read plenty of books while traveling, in different cities, on the beach, etc. I recently bought about 16 books from bookoutlet, then I made another order.. and then I took a trip to the bookstore to buy a few more.. it’s literally an addiction. But these are the books I want to finish this month and I’m very very excited!! I’m such a nerd.
♡》The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

♡》How To Be A Bawse by Lilly Singh
♡》The Secret History by Donne Tartt

♡》Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
I already finished the first Harry Potter and Yes Please by Amy Poehler so I really only need to read 3 more but I like to set super big, super challenging goals for myself. I’m working 3 jobs at different hospitals so it can be difficult to find time to read, but I make time for the things that are important to me. Today is also a rainy day and the only day I don’t work and that is basically a perfect reading coincidence🙌🏼.
And this is my enormous book haul, so I should be set for the rest of the year! But I will probably keep buying books anyway😋. Feel free to leave me book recommendations or let me know if you’re reading any of these so that I know I’m not alone. Okay bye!🤓🖐📚
