And we’re off! – Hawaii bound

Well, almost. But it’s so close! I just have to drive to Jersey tonight, head to the Newark airport tomorrow morning, hop on a 6 hour flight to San Francisco, then another 6 hour flight across the Pacific and then I’ll be on the island of Maui! So yeah, almost there..

I’m trying really hard to contain myself but when you’re so close to being in tropical paradise it’s a little difficult. This isn’t my first time going to Hawaii, but the last time I was there was when I was 10 years old. We visited Honolulu at the time and did some island hopping. That was 13 years ago, so it’s been a while, although I feel like I did when I was 10 years old. All week I’ve felt like a kid going to an amusement park, in that moment when you pull up and you can see the roller coasters from a distance and you already start to feel like you’re missing out. I may have also felt like a kid because I kept replaying Moana. It didn’t help that I had to run last minute errands, work at both hospitals and start the dreaded packing process. I actually like packing, as long as I don’t overpack, but the thing is I always overpack (but this time I did okay!). I’m just so excited to go snorkeling, zip lining, hiking, exploring caves, going to a luau and experiencing all of the Hawaiian culture and beauty.

My most recent trip was to LA which was such an awesome experience, but I’m even more excited for this next adventure! I just want to explore and experience as much as I can on this exciting journey that is my life. So if you’re a friend, family member, or anyone who happened to stumble upon and read this, feel free to follow alongšŸ™‚ My flight leaves tomorrow! so until then, I’ll leave you with some pictures of my family and I that my mom found from our first time in Hawaii.šŸ¤—
